    Door stop points uneven

    Hey all

Does anyone know/can check if the "stop points" on your doors are different?
I just noticed the first "stop" on my driver's door has it way wider than the first stop on the passenger door.

And the driver's door has some pretty good tension to wanting to close before the stop. Explains why I find it pretty difficult getting in/out at times. I have to hold the door to keep it from closing, but prevent it from hitting whatever I'm next to while getting out.

    Thanks!

Looks to have the VAG'd adaptive stops.

Based on your pic, both my driver and passenger have two stops in the hinge. One at your passenger door short range and the other at your driver door longer range. For drivers door I almost always use the shorter stop in parking lots because the long is so wide with the coupe design. That drivers hinge should be different. I have an 09, but would think they would all be similar.

    Thanks for the reply.
Yea I'm pretty sure the drivers hinge is broken. What I pictured is the only stop between closed and full open. Also, that stop is barely there whereas the two on passenger door are very defined.

This is something I'm compelled to have fixed - it really does make getting in/out difficult as I have to hold the door every time (I would predominantly use the shorter stop, if there, as well)
