    What are the reasons my car would stop blowing hot air? I want to see if it's something I can fix. I took it to a shop and they misdiagnosed the hell out of this car.

    Is'nt the S4 B5 2.7T directly attached to the heater core? Or is that the RS4 B5 Avant only? The RS4 has a permanent 'line' towards the heater core, bypassing the thermostat.

    If that is not the case on the S4 B5, then the thermostat is stuck, not opening, and needs replacement.

    Either the heater core itself is plugged up (somewhat common), the thermostat is OPEN always, or your water pump has failed.

    You didn't give anywhere near the amount of information needed to diag so, that's what you get.
