    Key fob programming

I know that there is multiple threads related to this. I've read them all, and tried all the procedures, including the one in my owners manual. None of them work.

Neither of my fobs are working now. Randomly quit a week ago. I put new batteries in them both today and have no luck getting them to work. What else can I do, try, or check to get them to work? Besides going to an Audi dealer.

    Car is an 05.5 a4 b7 2.0T

You need a VCDS so you can read what's going on in the CC module. Could be that your fobs are fine but the problem is elsewhere. Where are you in MN?

Oh. If you're coming to town, let me know I'll meet you somewhere with my VCDS. I'm in E Prairie.

Give it a day or two and it will re learn it automatically. If it doesn't there's something else going on.

Your not the first person to say that but from my experiences its incorrect, when I bought my a4 only one key worked, so I went through the programming drove with it etc nothing helped it.
Then I found a DIY showing the master programming mode, which uses one key in the ignition and the ones to be programmed in the door, that does work but because I only have two masters and no valet or wallet key, I was only able to program one of them while it erased the other one from the system (it swapped which one works as a remote) so my suggestion to op is to look into the master programming diy (there was a huuuge thread about this about a week or two ago that has it in it) and if you have a valet or spare key you can program both! If not I would suggest picking which one you want as a remote and program that one.

If you've already tried the door programming and they still dont work then I'd say you have a CC problem, as long as the programming went successfully (like lights flashing etc)

    Hope this helps

Okay I finally figured it out! Lindw4ll I tried that methods so many times I thought I was gonna burn out my lpfp from priming it. It was useless. I dont know whether it was a replacement key fob that my second one wad and that's why it wasn't working BUT!

    http://www.audizine.com/forum/showth...i-flip-key-fob

Using this tutorial, after trying the first part three times (again just incase I messed it up) to no avail! I went on to the "assigning key fob to car" section!

I tried it three times, on the third time I hit unlock as soon as I released the key from locking the doors and I heard it click and the lights flashed!! Then did the second unlock ten seconds later and it WORKED!!!! Finally! This has been driving me mad!

Danbfree, read the tutorial in the link I just posted but when you lock the doors with the key right as soon as it returns to horizontal position press unlock button and it should work, he didnt say this in the tutorial, but everything else was accurate! (under the assigning new key section)

Try that method and report back!
This was my post from that other thread, check out the link here and try the second method as the first one is the one in the manual

Just going from personal experience. I replaced my battery a few weeks ago and my key fob stopped working. Was working again by the end of the day.

Something else is going on it seems.
