2.4 30v Replacement Engine Needed

Just need a little knowledge from some superior minds...
Bought a very cheap (AU$250) FWD 2.4 30v A4, with a timing belt snapped.

After further investigation I have found that the chain on the passenger side cams has snapped and gone through the rocker cover.
This caused that cam pulley to jam up, resulting in the crank pulley destroying the timing belt, and who knows how many valves.

The condition of the car does not warrant a big spend, I just want to know which engines will bolt in with the 5 speed auto and stock wiring so i can get it running and put some money in the bank for an S4...

2.4 / 2.8 V6 30V.

Just be aware both engines come with either DBC or DBW, depending on the model year. Just make sure you get the right type for your current configuration.

Depending on year you'll have an AGA or APS coded motor which corrolate to AHA and ATQ in us model 2.8 motors as I've found which are dbc and dbw respectively as nolly stated. If you can get a used eBay Motor (pretty much only source I've found) you'll be doing okay for cost

Thanks! Just as I suspected...found a 2.8 30v with 121,000 km on it for $500, should do the job nicely :)
