Audi bike carriers - update keys found

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
These will fit any of the Audi base bars. they will ONLY work with base bars. As an aside, they also fit the BMW bars - in case you have one of those.

    - Barracuda bike carrier, I have two of these.

    - Newer aluminum design. I have one of these

All three are in excellent condition. I found one key for each Barracuda (Mont Blanc) carrier and both keys for the newer design (Thule manufacture)

$120 each ($200 new) and I will cover shipping.

You can have all three for $300 (and I again will cover shipping)

Current - 2015 Jag F-Type R, Triple Black. "it's an x-rated, hardcore monster, for the terminally unhinged..."

Recent past - 2013 S4 Prestige. Phantom. Black/Magma and Carbon. It did everything but touch my soul.

    Past
E90 M3 - I still hear the distant howl of the V8......; B7 RS4 - I hardly knew you; B7 S4 Avant - Uber Wagen; Z4 - driving it was the most fun I had in a car (at least until then) with my pants on.

So you don't have the key for any of the 3?

Found the keys. see post edit. One key for each barracuda - two keys for the newer (thule) design.

yes, these fit 20in wheels. I have used them not just for my bike but also the smaller bikes for my daughters from age 6 and up.

I feel this request in not directed at me but at Dannaye regarding his bike. Correct?

They look like the much nicer and professional photos provided by our friends at Audi. I have attached three photos of one of the Barracuda (Mont Blanc) carriers, about which another member expressed interest. The painter's tape is holding a plastic bag containing the key

Yes, two Barracudas made by Mont Blanc. One key each for those and I found the vendor from whom you could order more keys in the US. Also, one of the newer designs made by Thule, two keys for that one. Wrapped and ready to go. I would have Kinkos or similar box them for me.

I also have a fourth carrier, identical to the Audi/Thule but with the bolts for a BMW base bar. The Audi racks will fit BMW base bars, the BMW rack will not fit the Audi base bars unless you get new bolts from Thule.
