Lightbulb RS5 Rear Brake Calipers on S5

Just picked up an entire used 2015 RS5 brake set for decent deal. I know the front rotors and calipers are bolt ons, but since I have the rears I was wondering if they would fir on my B8.5 S5. From the searching I did it appears that in order to get the RS5 rotors on I would need the RS5 spindel and wheel hubs. The problem with this is it seems like a head ache and the shops around me ive called are not familiar with it at all so Im thinking of staying away from using the rotors.

However I read on these forums that the RS5 rear calipers are bolt on which I was wondering if anyone could confirm. I know the rear RS5 calipers are near identical to the S5 rear caliper so the change would be more for aesthetics rather than actual performance which im fine with. If anyone is familiar with the rear swap I would appreciate some insight as there is a whole lot of information on the front swap but not the rear.

    Cheers!

Everything on the RS5 rear is identical except the rotors. Calipers are only different if you landed a set with the RS cover plates, which not all of them have. As you stated you need the RS5 rear knuckle and hub to use that rotor. You can bolt the RS5 caliper right to your S5 rear knuckle and use the S5 rear rotor.

Awesome! I don’t know if the improved rotors would be worth the hassle to get the knuckles. Do you know if I’ll need a master cylinder?

No, really no one updates the MC on these upgrades. If you want the rotor grab a B8 RS4 rotor, same thing, fits the S5 hub.

I have S5 rear calipers and B8 RS4 rotors and it was plug n' play... the rotors are the same diameter as the RS5, I think it's the offset that's different.

And the RS4 rear rotors can fit stock S5 rear calipers. That's what I did
