S4 seats into A4 problems with the memory seats

So i'm swapping s4 seats into the B8 A4 everything is plug and play. only problem is that the recline on the news seats won't work after swapping the module from my a4 to the s4 Here are the faults i'm getting. any ideas?

It was a bad switch. I replaced it and everything worked.

Thanks. In my case, I swapped the memory module by installing my A4 seat memory module in S4 seats and it didn't like it. So I swapped it back and now it works. Which is weird becoz all DIY suggest switching modules

well if you use the stock s4 modules the memory seats may not work, something about doing something in VAGCOM which I didn't really want to tinker with.

First of all, the seat memory module has component protection, so if you change that one you will have to go to the dealer to remove the protection.

It was a bad switch. I replaced it and everything worked.

How did you figure that it was a bad switch? I have the same exact code, but the back rest works for about 2 seconds sometimes, most of the times when I flick the back reset switch it just makes a clicking sound but back rest doesn’t move. I’m suspecting the sound to be a responsive switch but a failed motor? Because very rarely it works for a few moments then goes back to not working and just making a single clicking sound each time you push the switch forward or backwards.
