    Question on A6 bumper

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking to replace my bumper due to it being damaged. (facelift A6 S Line bumper)

The part number listed is 4G0-807-065-AS-GRU. Are there any other bumpers that can be used?

I'm guessing I need to look for better shops in NJ

Any shop with a decent plastics repair guy should be able to plastic weld that joint, prime and paint it. May be better to look for a specialist bumper repair shop rather than a general body repair one.

Do you have ACC fitted? That could be more of an issue due to the need to have the whole system recalibrate if the sensors are removed from the bumper.

luckily I don't have ACC but thanks. I'll definitely see to get it repaired instead of changing

    That's without a doubt repairable.
it's just easier for a body shop to replace the bumper instead of losing man hours removing the bumper, repairing it,painting, clearing and remounting.

it's pretty sad but that's most shops have become R&R places..
