Looking at the pics and reading the description I would say every bit as good as the JHM if not better for $25 less.

Two major benefits I see to the ECS unit (other than $25 less), are height-adjustability and 3 throw settings instead of 2.
JHM unit comes with additional stiffer push-down reverse springs for those wanting a stiffer push-down feel.

Sorry, my short shifter experience is from muscle cars where all you do is remove 6 bolts and the whole shifter assembly pops off, lol.

Ours is 6 as well. 4 bolts mount the shifter assembly to the car, one bolt for the linkage, and one bolt for the stabilizer rod.

Well I mean, there's no stabilizer rods or anything like this. It's all one inclusive piece, basically.

That's why I'm asking if we'd still need the rod from JHM with this setup.
