Monsoon Gray rim color suggestions

Thinking to either get a new set of wheels looking into Neuspeed Rse102's or get my factory 19's painted a different color. I have the black optic package and am thinking mabye a bronze color. Not sure what to do any pics or thoughts much appreciated. I am lowered on Emmanuele design springs and have ECS spacers and swapped my mirror covers to the aluminum mirrors.

Be different and get something different than the nuespeed. Seems that many usually get the same type of rim design for some reason.

Silver, bronze would look good, but personally I think dark color rims don't go well with monsoon. Just ordered some niche 20 inch rims for mine.

I have the same car, same stance(different company). I voted "other"above. I'm more conservative than most, but right now I'm leaning on a Gunmetal finish. Someone on here did AG's in silvers on the same color combo and my first thought was "80"s". Black is overdone and honestly hides the design of the rim too much(My opinion, sorry black rim owners). I'm looking at the Vorsteiner V-FF 101's in carbon graphite.

One thing that I have been thinking about on the painted V spoke wheel idea or just to be able to try a couple of colors on the car was to get a couple of the Spray Dip products and spray one stock wheel and mount it to see what I like. You can remove it after you spray it.

To get an idea on gunmetal, click on my build link below, go to the bottom of the first post with the pics. You'll see my Forgestars on the car and they are Gunmetal, so at least you can see what it looks like for ideas. I will say my FS's gunmetal is lighter than what I see labeled as "Carbon or Carbon Graphite". Those are my track wheels only. Although that traditional spoke design looked better on the car than I had originally thought. It's a tough choice I know, I'm struggling with it myself. Good luck.

I'm considering having my same stock wheel's powder coated a graphite/gunmetal color with a high gloss/flake. I did this with my previous vehicles Gramlight 57DRs and it looked amazing. Especially in the sun.

I had these wheels on my MK6R (Carbon Steel Grey) in Satin black, and now on my S3 (Daytona Grey) in Gloss Black. I do think the polished lip allows for the black to work. I know not monsoon, but close and gives you an idea.

I have the same exactly color and black optics package you had. I kept my wheels stock (I actually like them) and i put on a carbon fiber spoiler and carbon fiber mirror caps and my car looks great just with those 2 additions. I also have tints like you. I say just go all carbon fiber. Really looks great with the monsoon grey.

As a quick FYI, they will look like a few shades darker, kind of in between your Forgestar wheels and the monsoon paint.

The V spoke are heavy as crap?

Yeap, 27lbs. But I guess it's a matter of perspective. You've read mine. My Forgestars that are 18*9 are 19.5 lbs per wheel. What save's the car is that the Conti's in the stock size are 21lbs per tire. Most hi-po tires of similar size are 25 - 26lbs.

My vote is for bronze. I have a set of bronze rims sitting in my office that I ordered for my dark gray GLA45 but I cancelled that car and now don't think they would work on a glut orange car.

Mine are Dark Hypersilver (similar to those on a Lexus)
very similar to the paint color, but they look almost black during the night/in low light

I pulled the trigger and ordered a set of 19x9 RSE102's in the bronze color from modded euros. I also have black audi center caps that I previously ordered and was hanging on to. My dilemma now is what to do with the lug covers. They are silver and my oem lugs are silver also. I am not sure if I should try to paint a set of lug caps bronze or order a set of black ones.

The lug caps stick in pretty far in the rim and aren't that noticeable IMO. I boat never recognize them, but I do have matte silver rings that I was thinking about dipping bronze too.

I went back and forth between color and rim. I also liked a set of AG wheels with their custom bronze technica powder coat. I felt the AG wheels looked to much like stock. They arrive Friday can't wait for UPS to deliver them.
