    Rear Diff and Snub Mount

Hey guys, looking for a DIY write up or some tips for replacing the rear differential mount on my c5 allroad. Put in 034 tranny mounts a few weeks ago but now the clunk/jerk is back when shifting in lower gears, so I figure I'll just replace all the mounts until it's fixed. From what I've read it seems pretty straightforward...?
Also, is there anyway around putting the allroad into 'service position' to change out the snub mount?
Both mounts are headed this way in the mail so I'm looking for some advice.
    Thanks in advance!

No you need to remove the core support to fit the new tighter fitting snub. You dont have to remove it all the way, just enough to work in the snub mount location and not have to drain all your coolant.

Rear diff is easy. It is literally a swap out and doesnt take long. The hard part is getting the bushings out of the diff carrier (mount located behind / above diff)

Ok, so do I have to remove the bumper to do the snub? Also, do the bushings in the diff carrier need to be replaced at the same time as the rear diff mount? Thanks for your help

I did the rear diff carrier mounts from 034 last week. It was kinda a big job. The 3 allen head bolts that go into the diff are probably rusty (mine were) and kinda soft. I had to cut one. I also have a big press and it took quite a bit to get the old mounts out after I had the carrier off the car. But that's because I didn't want to burn them out. I've heard that's how some people do it.

Side note... I just replaced the carrier mounts for now. Red is track density. I haven't really noticed anything different.. I did "window weld" on the front diff mount and that actually seemed to make more of a difference than the rear. Just food for thought.
