Soo some girl was in my back seat and went exploring and unfolded the thing behind the rear center console. What exactly is this thing? And is it completely impossible to fold it back to its original size so that I can put it away properly?

The ski bag? It's basically an pass through with a bag that allows skiis to fit in your trunk without damaging/dirtying your interior. Yes you can fold it away.

Its a ski bag, and it is really annoying to re-pack, but not impossible to do so.

Skis? What are those? Every cab owner knows this is the panel you pull down to access the decklid release keyhole to manually reset the top.

The ski bag feature was a charming idea but as gautam mentioned a PITA to repack and get the lid to close. I fold down my 1/3 seat and have my ski pass through in about a minute.

Haven't looked at it in detail yet, but how did you remove it? I have subs too and I like the idea of a little porthole.

The worst part of the ski pass through is that it's really only big enough for 1 set of skis. Maybe 20 years ago you could get 2 or 3 pairs, but with modern width (120+) powder skis, it's a tight fit for a single set.

This is true, can be done tho. My skis are 120mm under foot and my buddies are fat also. We can fit them both in there...but its tight. Most likely gonna get a rack for next winter because the skis take up all the trunk room lol
