Allroad 2.5 tdi rear diff help/ advice.

    HI,
I have a 2004 allroad tdi 2.5 v6 bau, manual 01e gearbox, I also have a 4;1 centre diff, I am getting a lot of thudding only on slow turns from standstill both ways, I had this before I changed the centre diff too, and have changed oil. The part number is 01R 500 043 R and the code is ENX on the diff, the ratio is 35.8. Do I have to have exactly the same diff or can I choose from ENY,GKH or FCE codes all of which have different ratios ?
    thanks
    ben

Other than a wavetrac diff there isn't much to upgrade.
