Anyone know if just the muffler with dual tips is available? Not looking to do a full exhaust yet, just a muffler swap. I did a full search and all I am finding is CAT back systems.

Little confused. Are you looking for a muffler of a specific brand or something?

Nothing specific, to be exact I am changing the diffuser on my B7 single for the S4 dual but want to also increase flow. (Knowing that in the future a HFC and tune will happen).

I'm sure there are a number of universal fit mufflers out there.... you'll need a shop to weld the hangers in the correct place.

will the back diffuser allow twin tips? my tips kind of take up all the space. or do you guys have a different type?

On the B7 A4 you need to swap the valence over to the B7 S4 one to run qual tips.

I always recommend custom if you have a good shop around.

You may also need to get a new rear valence in order to accomodate the quad tip.... more eliptical shape instead of round.

Not sure what OP has but the b6 rear valance is one piece aka part of the bumper unlike the b7...

    Magnaflow should have some options

I was able to procure a B7 S4 quad tip diffuser for my A4, which is why I also want to replace the stock mufflers. I know there are a bunch of universal mufflers out there, I was hoping someone in AZ land had already done the muffler swap from stock to aftermarket on their S4 quad and had suggestions...

Ideally, I would like to find a pair of 2.5" inlet, 2.5" dual outlet with tips that fit the quad diffuser/valance perfectly.

Just call up any exhaust company and ask them for mufflers for your car. If you want i have my mufflers from my Fast intentions exhaust laying around (the glass packs were ruined so it was like running straight pipes. The quad tips are pretty big on them.

What im saying is buy mufflers from (borla, magnaflow etc) buy my old mufflers with quad tips (cheap i wouldnt want much at all) then take to exhaust shop and tell them you want the quad tips from my muffler on to the new muffler. Voila you have what you want. PM me if you want my mufflers with the quad tips (that look on our cars)

The look I want is this. Milltek built, but they don't sell just the muffler with tips... Note the full quad output.

Thanks for the mention! We offer a line of mufflers with dual tips already attached (see below), or you can purchase the muffler and tips separately and you exhaust shop can fab everything up.

All of the dual-tip mufflers we have can be seen here:

I've emailed you guys a couple times on your website about a partial purchase of your 16689 kit with no response back. I am in a situation like with the OP, but I have have a B7 S4 so it has already OEM quad tip outlets.

I was looking to purchase just the extention pipes that eliminate the resonators and the muffler assy's since I already have a 3" setup coming out of my headers, 200 cell catsm, and x-pipe so I just wanted to add your back half of the kit...but no one ever got back to me. Your 16889 kit will bolt right on with minimal fabrication and look great as OEM with a MUCH better sound. I just don't want to have to buy the whole kit, then try and sell the x-pipe setup from it and try to gain a little money back.

So yea, if you can talk to someone there or get back to me (PM is ok too)...it would be great.
