Anybody using a Blendmount for their Radar detector? If so, what is the right Audi mirror model to select? They have a bunch to choose from.

I returned mine because it mounted my max360 right below the high beam support camera and inadvertently blocked the gps from working.

that is what I used for my S6. the AUD-004, also the same for my wife's SQ5. Since you are so close by (I live in Tustin), if you want to meet up to test it I'd be more than happy to assist.

Will someone post of a pic of their's installed? I was worried it might block the field of vision too much. I have my Max360 hardwired and installed with the standard suction cup immediately to the right of the rear-view and it works well enough but I'm definitely interested in what this looks like in the RS7. Thanks in advance.

I can take a pic when I get home... doesn't get in my way. The other important thing to consider is that you should also be using mirrortap for the power source so no ugly power cable running to your cigarette outlet either. I wouldn't spend the money on a blendmount if I wasn't willing to mirrortap it for power also.

can you take a pic? I want to see how you wired your mirrortap. My mirror doesn't look like it has anywhere to plug it in. Also, what detector are you using? I'm trying to decide between redline and v1.

Also, I'm not sure I'd go redline. I have a redline, a max2 and (2) max360s and have to say I like the Max360 a lot more than the Redline. Sure, you might get a little more distance on freeway trips with the redline, but I'm not sure it's needed as the 360 still has a ton of range. Max360 filters much better and the options give you a lot of room to tweak it how you want. I've never had a V1 so can't comment on that, but out of all the Escort radars, the Max360 is a clear winner IMO.... despite early complaints (if you've been reading those).

Not to completely hijack this thread, but does anyone have any solutions for the Escort Max360 overheating in the sun? Mine becomes unusable if I park my car in the sun almost all the time and it takes hours for the unit to cool down and become operable. . .

Never had that issue and I'm in the sun all day at work. All my cars have ceramic tints on the windshield, which might be a solution unless you just have a faulty unit. I think I have 60% on the RS7 and 45% on my GT3.

I used the 15" for mine. You can get away with the 10", but I like having the little extra cord to play with.

My guy told me that they send the right one depending on the car, but I have no idea what they used. CASoxFan seems to know ^^^

Basically they have changed them now so that it is a universal kit with detachable taps in the 4 sizes, so the only option is cord length. Previously you had to choose the correct size taps for your car. You can choose from 10", 15" or 20". You can definitely get away with the 10", but it is a little tight. I prefer the 15" to have the extra slack so I can route it exactly the way I choose. The 20" would be too long and make it hard to hide the excess.

I had problems getting a gps signal with tonymission setup. The big bulge sits right above the GPS receiver and blocked the signal.

I know this is an old thread but I purchased the max 360 and the same blend mount. Do you have gps issues?
