Hey, friends.
I'm in need of some help. I've been trying to match the MMI and cluster surround of my B8 A4 avant to the rest of my interior piano black trim and have run into issues.
I first had someone wrap the pieces but it turned out pretty rough - I don't think the guy that wrapped the pieces was as good as he led on. There we're small bubbles on the MMI piece and the edges weren't clean.
I then decided to have the pieces painted which turned out just as bad. I was told that solvent used caused small bubbles/peck marks. They also used so many coats that portions of the pieces are thicker than others. There's even a spot where it looks like paint ran.
I'm at a loss. I know people here have done both paint and wrap successfully so it's definitely possible and shouldn't be this difficult.
Any recommendations in the Denver metro area for a company who can prep the two pieces and repaint gloss/piano black? Worst case I could have them re-wrapped but I think the current surface would affect the quality of the wrap.
I appreciate any help.
