Im in the process of changing my down pipe. After pulling it out I noticed a bung/ hose connection on the Transmission with nothing on it. An boy did my heart sink fast, because I know something must of been connected or capped off. I looked around and didnt see any hose hanging. My question is what is it and should I cap it or what hose connects to it?

heres a link to a picture, its capped off in this picture. This was from a trans drop so i dont know if that was done before hand. Its right above the axle and covered alittle by the vertical metal plate on the side of the trans.

That is a breather port for the trans. It's pretty covered so I doubt anything got into there but it should be capped. The part # is 014301485

Thank you, I was more concerned about moisture and the transmission fluid being hydrophilic.
