Koni Coilovers - Who has them?

I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of Koni Coilovers on UROTUNING.com for $1300. Does anyone have a set they've had for awhile they can vogue for? I've been looking for fully adjustable ones. Or anyone else recommend anything else I should get? Thanks!

I had them. I liked them. They rode a bit softer than my current Bilstein PSS9s.

I would honestly go with something like Vogtland's GT coilovers.

I have STs and they work fine I only have them because I got them for a good price 2nd hand if I would buy new for that price.. x2 what meno said I would go vogtland's GT coilovers.

Koni does make good coils if you end going with them vs something else

Are you looking to slam the car? If you are then you will need them to be at their lowest setting which is where most coils don't perform their best (if im not mistaken). I bought my car with them already on and they were almost impossible to free up to get them lower. I have had STs on my jetta and I loved how the adjustement collars are not made of aluminum so they don't seize so easily. The Koni's dampers are adjustable though.. mine are set to pretty soft and my girlfriend does not mind the ride at all compared to in the jetta with the STs she complained. If I were to get a new suspension I would go ST for the lower price, for the same price as Konis I would look at H&Rs on ECS and a bit more budget KW

have had both. sts are too bouncy for my liking and collars are aluminum, if i were to buy new would be Vogland. my konis have been on car over 6 years with no issues and still spin freely for adjustment.

We seem to have had different experiences! Maybe the collars on the jetta versions are different.. I have to say though they were a tad too bouncy but for the price I find them a good option.

Have them on my 01 b5 for almost 8 months now, came from the stock sport suspension, dropped the car down to about 2 inches, ride is alot firmer, car handles alot better, but sometimes bottoms out on bad potholes or dips, I believe I have them set in the middle for stiffness. Overall I personally wouldn't go with another brand if you plan on keeping your car for more than a few years. The Konis have a lifetime warranty, I think the next best was may the vogtlands with a 10 year.
Also fwiw, I gave the Koni Coilover Kit (1150-5019), and check thm motorsports, I paid alot less than $1300 for them from them

Thanks for all the insight guys! Based on from what most of you are saying Vogtlands will be just as nice that is easier on the pocket. I plan to have my car for atleast 10 years. So a nice ride matters.

I'm also looking to lower it just so it looks flush, not trying to slam it right now. How much you think I should lower? I'm not trying to kill my oil pan.


Can someone link me or tell me where I can get a set of vogtlands or koni's for a good price? I am trying to budget money to use towards other upgrades. Thanks!

i've had koni's.. nothing really wrong with them, they however don't go very low if thats what you're looking for.

i have vogtlands, and ST's now.. and i feel they are both better, and cheaper.
