LED fog light housings

Anyone try these things out? The guys at retrofit source are in the process of building/releasing Morimoto fogs fir the Audi platform, which I am looking forward too. In the meantime was poking around for some replacement housings to use in the meantime and found these.

FYI... The stock housing and lenses are Hella sourced, so they're great quality...

Also, personally I would want yellow. I am running the Nokyo stock wattage that I've historically ran, but LED fog bulbs have me really interested.

Right on, I was going to order but found a deal on some lightly used white SQ5 lower door moldings.....jumped on em, led fogs can wait. Looking forward to your feedback on them.

Aight, I got the fogs installed! Had to wait for rain to quit down here.

Shipping was fast, got 'em in two days ahead of estimated arrival.

The quality is pretty damn good, especially the cabling - all endpoints are snug and sealed well. Best of all no bulb errors.

The only drawback (so far) is the adjuster isn't easily accessible once the fogs are installed...you gotta remove them, turn the adjuster and remount them.
--I haven't adjusted them yet, but I'll do a test when it gets dark.
--I also just ziptied the cable for now - I'll mount it properly once I get more time - they have screw holes so you can secure them.

To the get to the mounting screws, you do have to pull the lower grills off (they just snap out pretty easily if you pull hard).
--The screws require a T-20 torx bit.

I'm happy with my VLED VX3s but does this assembly include any language on the emitters or lumen rating of the fog light? I'd like to think it's compatible with 2013+ models also.

Nice! Thanks for jumping on the buy, I think I might do the same, I just had one of my Hoen bulbs blow so this might be a better option. Any chance you've been able to get a night shot yet? Do they match the headlight color very well?

Haven't been able to get a clear night shot yet. They're quite a bit whiter than my headlights, but then again my lights are old and on the way out, I think. They're really close to the DRLs color. They throw a ton of light for much better visibility.

have you try running without the resistors? i'm running some philips X-treme Ultinon Led Light Bulbs without bulb out warnings.

Ok finally got (not so clear, phone) night shots.

Like I said above, I think my headlights are on the way out and they're yellowing a bit, so the LED fogs are quite a bit whiter than the HIDs.
-It shows up in the pics more than in person though.










@Nison_Li - the resistors are hardwired in so removing them would require cutting and splicing, and since they don't throw errors as is, I'm gonna leave them like that :)

i think you can hard wire the factory harness into the new fogs, p.s. shoot me a pm if you want some cheap OEM D3S bulbs that i swapped out at delivery.
