Vcds coding

Question on some certain VCDS coding,

1.Looking to disable the LED wink on the headlights
2.LED bar at full brightness
3.XDS set to full
4.OIL temp show on all screens
5. Disable Soundkator

Not sure what other cool VCDS things you can do the S3, but if someone can help me with the coding/instructions to do these that would be awesome.

Also add to this thread any other cool things to do and how to do them?

Don't you simply pull the plug or disable a fuse for the Soundkator? I am not sure it can be done through VCDS.

you can unplug it, or do it through vcds from my knowledge. would rather adjust then unplug if possible

The doc itself should cover items #1, 2, 4 and 5. The links at the top of the doc are links to others' VCDS tweaks that I've found and I'm pretty sure has a lot more tweaks since I've last looked at them.

I'll try and track down the XDS thing since that wasn't around when I put the list together, but I'm pretty sure I remember reading the thread on another forum.

With respect to #1 (I am assuming OP meant LED wink with turn indicators), I have set my LED strip to dim with the turn indicators. Otherwise, with the LED at full brightness, it does make the turn indicators less visible.

Here is what I did to deactivate the Soundaktor.

A9 Structural Borne Sound
Adaption 10
At channel drop down choose "Volume of structure borne noise actuator" (only choice)
Enter a value in the proper box (0% = mute)

This is what was posted in there.

XDS Settings
The process is as follows :

1, Select [03] ABS
2. Select 10 Adaptation
3. From the pull down menu, select “Expanded electronic differential lock”
4. In the New value box select : “Standard”, “Not activated”, “Weak”, “Medium”, “Strong”

Security code: 20103

Default is Standard.

finally an 'oil temp on all displays' that worked for me! thx for posting.

obdeleven has an app that can do this. I have turned off the stupid soundaktor and increases the indicator flash to 5 and enabled the oil temp in the display with it. its not free but it does work via bluetooth using a dongle and your android phone
