Help please from those who have H&R springs fitted

    Guys

Posted already today about this but the title was directed to B6 owners. Had a brain wave and decided to check the H&R website to find that the same spring part number is fitted to the B7 as well as the B6. So throwing the net out to you B7 owners as well. My original post was:

    Hello from Scotland!!

Guys looking for some help please from those of you that have these fitted. Could someone please provide me with the ground to fender distance on both the front and back of your S4. I'm looking to fit lowering springs and want to compare the drop of H&R springs with Rev Motorsport springs. I've already got the GTF measurement for the Rev Motorsport springs.

    Thanks

    James

PS. As many measurements as possible for the H&R springs would be great to see if they are consistent measurements.
If you can help me out that would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    James

    Hi James,

Ground to fender clearance = 635mm exactly for both front and rear fenders.
I am (was?) running 19” x 8.5 with an et38 (which is the widest you want to go) and no issues of rubbing.

    In The Garage: B7 S4: JHM Tune Carbon Fibre: Vis Racing Hood, Relak Skirts & Paddle Extensions, Blades, DTM Deck Lip : 034 Snub & Bracket : JR Air Filter : H&R Springs : F.I. Catback : Gunmetal 19” 6RS V10’s • B8 A4 Avant: BSR Bling : 19” 4RS V10’s : V-Tech Chip

    Hi Brettannica

Thanks very much for that information. I'm running S5 Peelers which are 9"x19" ET33. Do you think that this is going to be an issue? I've seen other guys running with the Peelers and lowered with coilovers.

A little off topic, but what tire size? I'm looking into VMR v708 19" for next summer

I have had rs4's b7 9"x19"ET29 with H&R on my b6 s4. No rubbing at all but a little to wide in the front for my taste. Rear was fine. Tires 235-35. Now; Rotiform SNA also 9"x19" but ET35. Also fine...

I'm running 235/35/19 on the 9"x19" ET33 S5 Peelers but they are stretched. Hyde, who I think was the first have the S5 Peelers fitted, had 235/35/19 is now running with 245/35/19 with coilovers. He raised the height going to 245/35:

    Hope this helps.

235/35/19 - I was bit conservative but had no rubbing issues at all

Did you have to remove the 12 o'clock arch liner bolt? If so, was this front only or front and back?

    Thanks
