    Painting Break Calipers in NNJ?

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Looking for a good place to have my calipers painted to a different color.
Had a shop quote me nearly 2K which I think is way over-priced.

    Any recommendations?

Not a hard project to tackle yourself! Unless, you want to take them off the car, that's a different story hah. I painted these:

If you're willing to make a longer drive, check out Proformance in New Rochelle, N.Y. They did mine in red powder coat with stencil RS5 logo for a very reasonable price:

@spetsnaz27 those look awesome. Powder coat is the way to go for it to be perfect.

Was that estimate for rebuilding the calipers and powder coating.. Its also $$$$ depends on the type of calipers you have.

The tune shop I got to all the time paint these and come out with minimal $$$$$. They also have a in house company called Static Coatings that powder coats also http://www.driveautoworks.com/ its the Clifton location

If you can get the brake parts off and sent, I highly recommend Renewed Finishes in PA. They fully rebuilt a set of S4 rear calipers I purchased used for my allroad. They powdercoated them to match my front Porsche BBK. Dave is highly meticulous and did an awesome job rebuilding to brand new spec.

That being said, the logistics of sending them and waiting could be problematic if daily driven..

    Sorry, I couldn't resist...

If you can break them down and reassemble yourself, Static Coatings in Clifton can powder coat them for you.

Or just the car there and have them do the whole job. Make use of their loaner car to home and pick up when done. It will great when it done
