    Hello everyone!
My name is Bobby, Iam New to the forum board! I used to own a 03 Passat 4 motion and I loved how it handled. My wife was looking for a new car and we came across a 2007 Audi A4 2.0t Quattro with 72,000 miles, very clean lots of maintenance done.
After driving it I'm jealous and it reminds me of how the Passat handled. I currently drive 100 mile round trip to work everyday, in a 07 base Grand Prix :(.
I found a 2006 Audi A4 2.0t manual, Quattro with 124,000 with a cam follower engine failure. I'm getting a complete junk yard engine with 83,000 to replace it.
I'm aware these engines have there problems (cam follower, oil pump failure, cam tensioner failure, carbon buildup)if not maintained and parts replaced. I wasn't aware this engines were not that reliable until after we bought hers and we are stuck with it for awhile. Hope Audi don't disappoint me in reliability. My plans are to rebuild the bad engine as a back up engine.
My first impression of this car surprised me with the great gas mileage, power, comfort and quality in materials and ride. Iam notice a oil leak after 600 miles of owning it, it looks like the cam chain cover is leaking but I will take care of that when I replace the cam follower.

I'm going to be becoming very familiar with these cars in the near future and getting to know some of you in the Audizine community. Take care everyone!

P.S I do have one question, what do you diy'vers recommend for the best repair manual?

Welcome aboard! You should check out the Bentley manual. Also there are a lot of diys on this forum, so this is a good place to look. Enjoy your Audi and hopefully it serves you well, mine sure as hell does! :)

Well, you're in for a surprise Bobby. I'm not gonna lie but Audis are not the most reliable cars and it does require a lot of maintenance and upkeep for it to perform in tip-top 'reliable' condition. Other than that it is a beautiful car and very fun to drive.

Thanks. The Bentley Manual looks like a good buy being that I will have two to maintain. At least I know by the end of owing this two A4's I will be a master on them lol
