    New SQ5 owner question

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys new SQ5 owner here, previous B6 S4 owner. Just from looking through all the specs and pics of SQ5s I notice most of you guys have the supercharged emblem on the fender panel. Mine however has the V6 3.0T badge. I thought all the 2014 SQ5s were supercharged and not turbo. Is mine somehow the exception. In my manual it still lists the same specs as what I found only for the 3.0L V6 TFSI engine. Can anyone educate me?

The 3.0 T the T stands for the type of engine (TFSi) it is supercharged

Thanks man. Thats what I thought just wanted to make sure. Did they start putting the supercharged emblem on in 15?

I'm pretty sure the "supercharger" badge was an $150 option and not year dependent. Could be totally wrong and hopefully someone corrects me.

Correct it is an option. I was looking at it the other day and $132 also sticks in my head.

Option. Just peel those horrible V6T Badges off and put the supercharged ones on. You can buy them from ECS tuning or Europaparts

There's even a template to help you out with placement. Couple pics from when I put them on my car.

^ A little overboard with the tape, lol. I put a 1 inch piece at the top and called it a day. The template is nice to have though.

The V6T badge was the first thing I removed after 24 miles of ownership.

Debadge the whole thing. They look stupid. But, if your gonna rock a badge get some V12 Biturbo badges! Agree with Mops on this one way better without them!

After seeing those pics, I'm actually liking how the Q looks without them.

I liked the V6T on my B8.5 S4. Like the supercharged ones on the SQ5 (wifes car now - swapped the S4 for an SQ5 as the family is getting bigger :) ).

No it does stand for turbo in both cases. TFSI means Turbocharged fuel stratified injection engine.

Badges are dumb. Even the goofy rings and plastic badges on the rear. Take them all off!
