    I've searched.



    The fins on the fan wheel are spaced differently, is there a certain way I'm supposed to align it to the viscous fan?

    The fan spins in a circle so at any given point it will be orientated differently. Doesn't make a difference.

    I figured as much, but why build a fan with alternating spaces?

    Similar to: Why build a frankenturbo w/ mixed flow?

    something with alternating power or something?

    The mixed flow design allows lower pressure ratios to be able to spin the turbine sooner. It makes sense for allowing an earlier spool on a wheel made to flow more in the top end. At least that's my understanding.

    As for th3 fan there must be a reason due to how it manipulates the air or else it wouldn't have been designed that way

    Interesting.

    My thought was: An air version of the human hand spinning a non-functioning fan, like phew phew phew to get it going and continually spinning. As like the bigger gaps are the "hands" that come in and give the fan more force to keep it spinning well.

    ^ never studied physics, completely un-educated theory.
