    Oil Change Kits

New to the S4 and have been looking at oil change kits. There seem to be a ton of them. I'll be changing my oil using a topside method so won't need a new drain plug/crush washer so just the oil and oil filter. I've used various oils in my wife's Passat Komfort wagon and my JSW. Motul and Pentosin lately. Came across something a bit new to me, Ravenol synthetic. BLAUPARTS http://www.blauparts.com/proddetail....od=J1A5084%2DE has a kit that looks interesting. Has anyone used this kit? What are your thoughts? What oil change kits are you using and post a link. Thanks.

Heres a few of the popular ones. Scroll down the page and take your pick. Liqui molly, motul, castrol are some great ones to name a few.

Yep, I've had pretty good luck with this method so far.

Amazon for filters and Mobil1 0W40 European here as well.

I also used a Mitivac topside extractor and it makes the oil change process a real breeze and very clean.

I've been using a Mitivac for a couple of years on my JSW and Passat Komfort Wagen. Works great and no more crawling under cars. Just wish the oil filter wasn't a paper element. The wife's Passat (2.0 T) has a a spin on filter on top of the engine that is just super. Wish that the S4 had the same but can live with the filter element. I'll have to look at Amazon for the oil filter. Mann or Mahle? Also have to check out the Mobil 1 0W40 European. Kind of doubt that the local Wally World stocks the "European", I am in "Jaawja" afterall.

I've been using the blauparts kits on every S4 i've owned and never had an issue. They are fairly close to me though so basically next day delivery and often times free shipping helps.

sorry for being naive on this and could totally look up, but figured this was much easier.
Do you insert sucker end of pump down until it stops?
How much Mobil 1 do you put in? I have a jabsco pump so difficult to measure off of (use for boat and jetskis)
Also I am feeling stupid about this one, but where is the dip stick?

    I have a 2013 S4.

    Thanks

there is no dipstick, just an plug to cover the hole. stuff the hose all the way in, and then some more.

I filled with 7.2 quarts (check owners manual to be sure)

Me too. I started using the Mitivac pneumatic extractor when I had my C6..still works phenomenally well on my C7 3.0T. I was shocked on my first oil change when I pulled out almost 8 liters of oil from that 3.0.. That motor holds a lot of oil!!
Also, I just got my Mobil1 rebate checks from back in April when they were running that special. Took almost 4 months, but 2x 12$ checks from the 2 jugs I bought. Awesome deal.
