Audi Allroad - hatch lock cylinder removal

I want to remove the license plate tub/fob lights/license plate holder.
Inner trim is all off, all nuts off.
Just hanging on the lock cylinder it appears.

How to remove the hatch lock cylinder?

Note: currently cannot get the key into the lock, rusted from years of non use.

suggestions, links, video appreciated.

I managed to get the key in the lock and the lock to turn (a few hours of PB Blaster soaking AND constant wiggling and pushing the key in).

All my searches for instructions how to remove the lock (so I can get the license plate tub off) did NOT turn up anything on the HATCH LOCK.

Car is 2002. Not sure if other years do not require to remove the lock; but it sure seems to be the case on my car.

Any suggestion or links?

Lock has a C clip in the bottom. Removed. Key in lock, lock wiggles out. But housing still hanging on tub (not sure if glued on or just baked on over the years. Needed to knock it off the tub. Out now.
