I have had a power steering rack and pump replaced in my Audi A4 B6. I have checked the fluid level and have noticed reddish colour!!!
OMG it supposed to be green! What these people have done, now this has to be all flushed otherwise PS rack seals are done.

    Is it ATF?

I know most people religiously use the OEM fluid or CHF and nothing else, I personally have been using Redline for a little over a year in my B6 and about 2 and a half in my C5 and have had no issues so far. The Redline fluid even quieted my C5 pump where the OEM fluid could not.

I will ask on Monday, this guy has an Audi himself so my assumption is that he should know what he is doing, but I can read everywhere that CHF 11S Pentosin green fluid is the one to use for Audi - mineral high performance good for low temperatures not synthetic fluids.

unless you specifically ask for it, i doubt any shop will put the "correct" fluid in it.
"Are you actually asking that question.. Just don't even post on my thread. why do I need to lie on an Audi forum about me fucking two bitches at once. (not literally) yes i did, you are late to the party.
and this thread has ran out of gas. I just wanted to tell people about my experience I had 2 nights ago and felt like sharing it with my fellow B6'ers. And I thank the people who didn't hate."

I run Amsoil PS fluid and flushed system with chf11s first, not that anybody's asking. You don't absolutely need to always go by the book, especially when there are better unapproved products out there on the market.
I hate it when my car acts like a little bitch, treating me like a bitch
