Hi, Im hoping someone can help me with this. I ran a scan on the car and it came up with this fault code-

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Address 01: Engine (J623-CGLC) Labels: 03L-906-018-CGL.clb
    Part No SW: 03L 906 018 JG HW: 03L 906 018 JL
    Component: R4 2,0L EDC H25 2839
    Revision: 45H25---
    Coding: 12194012242401080000
    Shop #: WSC 06208 000 00000
    ASAM Dataset: EV_ECM20TDI01103L906018JG 003005
    ROD: EV_ECM20TDI01103L906018JG.rod
    VCID: 78F99EBBC35199DEA3D-802D

    1 Fault Found:
    5120 - Oxygen (Lambda) Sensor B1 S1
    P2196 00 [237] - Signal too High (Rich)
MIL ON - Confirmed - Tested Since Memory Clear
    Freeze Frame:
    Fault Status: 00000001
    Fault Priority: 2
    Fault Frequency: 40
    Mileage: 86972 km
    Date: 2016.07.06
    Time: 17:33:50

Does this mean the lambda sensor needs replaced or where it`s saying "signal too high (rich)" is that the actual fault and if so any ideas on how to fix it?.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks Pete.

It may be worth mentioning that with a CGLC engine code this is a 2.0 TDI motor.
It may be running rich and the sensor is just detecting it. So either too much fuel is being sprayed, you are losing boost pressure and air somewhere after the MAF (if TDI's have a MAF), or the sensor is ready faulty. I don't have any TDI experience so I will stop my guessing here.
