This pieces is precision CNC machined to exact specifications, from a single block of aircraft grade aluminum. Our TRUFlo TMD will increase your turbo response, and flow, all while making your turbo more audible in and outside of the cabin. The factory part is designed to reduce the ambient engine bay noise, but as a result hinders performance. Something a true enthusiast would have without. The TRUFlo TMD kit also includes a o-ring, which creates a 100% seal between it and the muffler housing, allowing a smooth uninterrupted flow of air. Nice, we were the first to release a "turbo muffler delete" for the IHI turbos in the B8 cars. That was way before anyone considered making such a product.

I currently have your EC FMIC which I purchased 2nd hand. The kit was supplied with a silicone adapter to fit my IHI K03 Stock Turbo. So what your saying above is you would recommend not using the TMD in my case? I would love to purchase the larger adapter that was previously available with the FMIC and Piping before they changed to Silicone adapter. Do you plan on ever selling that adapter ? I know it comes with true hose kit but I already have the 2.5" piping and only require the adapter , Can I purchase this possibly ?

Unfortunately, the B8 K04 kit is not compatible with the TMD, this is why the one that came with out intercooler had to be removed in exchange for a silicone reducer. This part is for the factory turbo on the car.
