Anyone having any luck getting a good discount on an order for a '17 TTS? So far i've spoken to a few dealers and the best anyone will do is 1k off and even then they act like I'm being completely unreasonable. They seem willing to negotiate a bit on the '16s but I really like CarPlay as I generally keep cars > 10 yrs and its a good hedge against outdated electronics. They'll still be old but at least my phone can power it.

I see that you are in the seattle area as am i. Im not sure which dealer you are going to but when i was shopping for my tt the seattle audi dealership didnt want to negotiate much and they offered me an insultingly low value for my trade and they were somewhat rude too. Bellevue audi was much better to deal with and bought my car from them. The sales person's name was angela chueh. I negotiated a 6% discount fairly easily (all through email) on an ordered tt. There is also a few other audi dealerships that arent to far away if the local ones dont want to deal.

Also the tacoma audi dealership said they would honor the ACNA 6% discount when i emaild them. So there is another option.

I was wondering something about negotiations. I've heard that dealerships are more apt to give you steeper discounts if you agree to use their financing as opposed to your own financing. Is there any truth to that?

Sometimes there are corporate-dealership incentives to use their financing. I did so one time just to get the discount and then immediately paid off the loan (be sure to check for that no-penalty possibility).

If I can get some incentives based on using their financing, I will, and then refi through Navy Federal as I have a few times prior.

I've used Navy Federal many times over the years (member since 1975). Same for USAA.

There should be another $500-$1k Audi "loyalty incentive" by the time you procure.

OP when you say 1k off, is that off msrp? I just bought a 17 for the wife at invoice which is a couple k below msrp anyway.
