To all B8 Avant owners rocking the B12 Kit

This is posted in the A4 B8 forum as well - a majority of us just had the Bilstein B12 Pro Kit installed after Bilstein was back-ordered for a few months.

While I have nothing but great things to say about ride quality - myself and a few other have some serious rake - more so than the kit advertises.

Curious who all has this kit installed and facing a similar issue? Currently sitting at 26" front and 27.25" rear

Posted on the B12 review thread, I'll post here too. Mine has very similar rake, you can fit your hand in the rear gap.

I will ask my shop as they the one who ordered for me. I still remember we tried to order B12 PRO but to longer wait time, he advised me to go separate way on suspension and spring. So he ordered B8 and the sportsline (which is the same as B12 Sportsline). It ended up matched nicely with my Eurocode sway bars (both are red color springs and the bars).

I will find out from him, it's been 4 months now since we installed these.

So, this is what he told me it's the one for Avant/2.0/Quattro. He forgot the serial as he needs to dig up the invoice again, perhaps tomorrow when he's at the shop he can try to find copy of it.

+2, looks way better than the B12 prokit. Much more evened out stance. Why, why, why are ours gaped so high in the rear...?
Hopefully Eibach will respond to someone here. It seems like a few others have submitted complaints.

I've still been looking into the part # that Phray posted, and he's right...it does list all the Avant's, but it also seems that they fit the sedans as well. So iKe if you could confirm your part # for your Sportlines, I'd be ordering up a set so I can be just like you

Okay, after talking to AJUSA (where I purchased my still unopened B12 kit), Eibach USA, conversing back & forth with several other folks I've decided to pull the trigger and try the Sportline part #4.10515. This part # doesn't show the Avant as proper fitment, but the part # that Phray provided (which is a European #) states that it fits both the Saloon & the Estate. So I'm going to give them a try. I want mine to sit like iKe's and that's the part # we think he has. Wish me luck... Oh, and anybody need a brand new set of Eibach Pro's for a B8 Avant

The Sportlines came in today. I'm going to try and get them installed this weekend, along with the bilsteins, EC sway bars/end links, and the AK.

I didn't trim mine, but again mine is sportsline spring not the pro spring.

I trimmed my rears, I noticed there is still about a 1 inch of play so I know for a fact I'm not riding on them.

However, a small annoyance has recently developed and doesn't happen all the time. Occasionally it sounds like the bumpstop gets pushed into the cup and then drops out. I have yet to take the wheel off and inspect. Doesn't affect ride quality or anything though.

Finally installed the "modified" Bilstein B12 kit today along with EC sways/end links, AK brace along with the EBay braces & the CR15, and finally the trans & rear diff inserts. Also installed the 19x9.5 Avant Garde's and alignment.

I will get it all cleaned up and then I'll shoot some pics. The Sportlines are PERFECT!!!!

Finally, a few pics of the "modified" B12 ride height. Thanks to all that helped with the decision to go with the 'sedan' Sportlines. The ride height is perfect and the ride is utterly superb!!! So I got the Sedan springs as a possible alternative to the ones provided with the Avant kit. I was looking at the part list and it said that the same springs fitted the Avant and the Sedan- hence why the person who bought his Bilstein B8 separately from his springs didn't have any issue.

Will keep everyone posted after I install them either Friday or Sunday.

Made the swap from pro kit springs to sportline spings this week. Loving it! Stance is now where it should be IMO. They should have designed it this way from the start. Ride quality is only slightly firmer than the pro-kit spring. Thanks for leading the charge @Avantmaniac and @NLPed68
