Bought an a6, made it 25 miles home then this happened

The car was running good, and it just started running out of power. And eventually died and we had to pull off on the side of the road. The battery needs to be jumped every time, but I don't think it's causing this issue. Seems like fuel pump, any help from the AZ bros?

Well it's kinda funny. I'm from the B6 forum and I bought this just for the 2.7t and 01e for a swap. And therefore this car is kinda haggard. Like no radio , Windows still work, and the brake lights were fine. When it was dieing if you hit the gas it would just start shaking. And then it just stopped, haven't been able to start it since. I've driven the car about 100 miles and it stopped. The gas gauge says its at a half, but I'm not sure if it's faulty or not.

What year of A6 is this? Looks to be a C5, not C6 2005-2011. If it is a C5, may want to post this over in that section.

Shoot my bad! I'm not thinking straight I was stuck on the side ride and was probably getting heat stroke haha. Well it's currently on a flat bed so we're good. If a moderator is reading this could you just go ahead and delete this thread

I agree, sounds like crank position sensor.
Happened to me in my B5 S4, which is this same 2.7T. Nice swap effort BTW

If anyone wanted any closure to this thread. It was a fuel pump relay, got a rep from a local pic and pull for 3 bucks and it fired right up.
