Acts as a "dongle" - Activation for the full-function version of VCDS is built in to the cable. Use VCDS on any suitable PC, no activation code is required.
Some 2016 and newer MQB based models may contain certain modules which are not accessible with the HEX-USB+CAN.
It does NOT currently support the following vehicles:
Audi B9 A4 (2017+)
Audi 4M Q7 (2017+)
VCDS registrations/licenses are not transferable. You can sell your interface, but you cannot sell or transfer the ownership rights of the license. Your buyer will be able to use the full version of the software, but your buyer will not be eligible for any support from Ross-Tech just as you have not been eligible for said support. Should you sell your interface, please advise your buyer that you will agree to a transfer ownership from you to them, and that they must pay Ross-Tech for this transfer if they want Ross-Tech's support.
