:: ECS Tuning :: Restore Stopping Power | B7 RS4 Replacement Front Rotor Options

Light on weight. Long on looks. The ECS Tuning 2-Piece brake rotors combine the natural advantages of a cast iron braking surface with the weight savings and rapid heat dissipation of an aluminum hat.

Cast iron-gray and durable matte black hats create an eye-catching contrast that accents painted calipers behind open-faced alloy wheels.

These beauties have all the extras: black anodized hats, cross-drilled and slotted brake faces, and unlike OEM, directionally vaned rotors for better cooling and heat dissipation over stock.

    They Look Better, Too.

Doesn't look like a true floating rotor. Couple that with ECS's reputation for subpar metallurgy and you have a no sale here.

I installed some about 2 months ago with EBC redstuff pads.

Look great, no noise, low dust.

I havent used them in anger yet, so can't give you a detailed review

Good point.. I'll prob just go OEM for rotors... Not pads though!

OEM aren't even true full-floating rotors. These and OEM are semi-floating. We've been selling 2-piece rotors for quite a while and "subpar metallurgy" is not a complaint we receive. They are made of FC-10 grey cast iron which is long known for it's wear resistance and stable friction characteristics.

The Brembo replacements are a great deal as well. Though they are straight vaned unlike ours that are directionally vaned which helps improve cooling.
