    Any drag racers here?

Anyone here drag race their awd 1.8t? I'll be adding some more power to mine soon, but I haven't lost a race yet. All street races so far. What exactly do these cars run stock? And what do they run with the stage one chip?

Street racing is frowed upon and why wouldn't it be? Endangering others lives in your poorly modified car on public roads. Go 2 the track if you feel the need.

    Also search for fucks sake

We don't endanger any lives when we race around here. We go to the same street everything we race. Only at night when the few businesses are closed. It's not like I'm trying to tear up any street I get on.

This is how the police find you and then crack down on boy racers. I'm not gonna pull a double standard, but I've done it a few times and I don't publicly advertise that I do so.

That can only come and bite me in the ass at a later date

There are ppl who drag there awd a4 I love to beat on my car haha!! As far as street racing I say as long as it's in the safe area and u have the correct/safe gear and equipment. #STREETOUTLAWS
But is always better to do it at the track more safe, and so u can monitor times etc...

As far as launching. I have big turbo (58mm) If I'm racing at the track I will hold it at around 6.5k then floor it at the 2nd light then 3r light then green light and I'm right at 7200 rpm then drop the clutch. I always usually get some tire spin from all 4 and I usually get 1.7 , 60 foot and mid 12s on pump. Never ran on race fuel. this seems to get me the best consistent low reaction time. I'm sure it anti lag system / launch control would be more consistent

Never been to the track with mine but for now it's mostly stock with some exhaust changes. I wet all for tires at the line and hold it at 5500 and drop the clutch. If I try to launch on dry ground it just burns the clutch. I've beat a 2011 mustang gt and a 07 mustang gt and a couple ricers. Made sure to get it all on video too lol.

The B6 forums has a nice dyno thread with 1/4 mile times in it. Though B6's are slightly heavier, it will give you a good way of knowing what mods can put down at the track.

I managed a 14.9 with stage 1+ Motoza (AWM) tune on 91 octane with a 1.9 60'. This is basically a stage 2 tune with any other tuner. I then went 14.4 on the stock turbo and E85. Our cars run around a 16.1 bone stock from what I've read.

My car is doing just fine. Thanks. And for $400 I'll continue to beat the shit out of it.

What's wrong with my driving? He's the only one in the videos that got stupid. He'd usually pedal it but he said when I got in front he floored it thinking he'd catch me

Remember guys, we're right at the majestic peak of b5 ownership where they're very cheap and common. We just have to ride this out for a couple years and guys like this will crash these cars. Our reward is a plethora of poorly maintained parts at the junkyard.

Most of these cars that get this treatment will be the under 1k cars, which usually are not well kept, have all the b5 issues. Way I see it is this will only increase the value on desirable ones.

On 2nd thought b5s will only continue their downward spiral. Only cars of value will be avants and the s4s. With. B5 s4 avants possibly being worth alot.

The A4 avants should be worth as much as the less kept S4 sedans if well sorted.

S4 avants are easily 3x the price of a well kept A4

Yep a4 avants run beat s4- nice s4 sedan prices out here. I had a offer for 8k on mine which wasn't even for sale. That said I've seen a few s4 avants for under 9k in good shape, stock noggy for 8500, and stage 3 silver for 8500 granted high miles.

The B5 A4 is 16.1s 1/4th mile stock, about on par with mid 90's mustangs without traction control.

I saw this post this morning an hour after it went up before anyone commented. I wanted to roast OP but decided it was not worth my time. Glad to see it was taken care of ha! Please don't street race, it gives the Audi/VW community a bad name, not to mention the risk to property and life.
