    Overheating help

Earlier today on the way home from work my car began overheating. I noticed it when my ac started blowing warm and the gauge went up to the 3/4 tick mark. I immediately turned the heat on and sweat 5lbs off on the rest of the drive. Turning the heat on helped and got it down to the normal 1/2 mark. When I got home I immediately opened my engine bay to look at the coolant and it was well above the max mark. The last time I topped it off was 5 months ago and it was just below the max. Don't know why it would be happening or why the coolant would get more filled up and if it would be the thermostat or not. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

This is how high the coolant got

My ac has been blowing warm air from the feet while blowing ac from the top vents. Which means that the car interior never really cools down. I was thinking maybe it may have an air bubble or something in it. I have not been able to try and bleed it yet but when I checked my coolant level was higher than normal too. On a plus my car has never gone above the middle on the temperature gauge.

Verify your coolant level once the car has cooled, the higher level could be from heat expansion. Turn your A/C down till it reads low and verify both electric fans are turning. Check the radiator for obstuctions like possibly a plastic bag. My guess is the fans have stopped as it also moves air across the condenser. Low airflow over the condenser and you lose A/C fairly quickly.
