    Chapter 1

My uncle told me I was getting a mommy car, he maybe right, but I'll show him my grocerygetter once I'm done with it.

It was at this moment where I contemplated on how far I wanted to take it.

Celibacy didn't last long... First mod? Limo tint.

Alas, I can finally dig for gold in peace...

    Weathertech rain deflectors

Black on Black on Black... CA Legacy Plates.

RS Grill from JC Sportline... the difference is amazing.

Looking at this, I'm going to have to vinyl wrap the window chrome trim and door handles...

Whine and shine... w/ Roc Euro Intake.

That gap was an eye sore , going low w/ KW H.A.S.

    Stickers add 5hp right?

Bonus Pic, my ride or die

Nice build man. Welcome to the forums.
    Look forward to seeing more.

Are you going to run your legacy plate up front as well on the new RS grille?
You may consider running a Europlate up there of the same color, and putting your Cali registration seals on it instead.
Not technically legal, but would serve the purpose IMO.

Thanks, I appreciate it! Been following your build as well, some of my decisions was influenced based on your build, and a few others ;)

And I don't run front plates, I never have. For the past 10 years without front plates in California, I've only been pulled over once for it and he let me go. But seeing that image of the euro plate might just change that :) thanks for the suggestion.

People don't even realize it, until I actually point it out! Nice little subtle humor.

There's also the issue of the old-school blower diagram.

Curious how the weathertech rain guards work out, had them on previous cars without issue but on my B8.5, they lasted 2 days and then fell off while driving and shattered into pieces......I know of a few others where this happened as well

Had them for about 5 months and it's still on.

The rear rain guards uses adhesive strip, so you need to make sure to apply enough pressure when you install them. Then roll up your windows and keep them up for about 24 hrs.

I had to re-adjust them once because I didn't apply enough pressure the first time, so it started slipping down.

JC sportline grill, was that a direct bolt on?

    Or trimming required?

all RSQ5 grills need to be trimmed to fit an S-Line Q5 (3.0T and SQ5)...i have yet to see or hear about one that doesn't require trimming. the grill will, however, fit the 2.0T (non-S-Line) without any trimming. in other words, the grills were designed for non-S-Line cars for some odd reason.

It isn't that odd. They made one mold, with the extra on the bottom. S-Line folks just need to cut it off, because the non-S-Line folks can't add it. Makes sense to me from a production standpoint.
