Swapping entire seats but, are they compatible?

I just bought the entire set of seats of an 1997 A4 for 80 dlls and since my drivers seat is messed up I just decided to get the whole set. I want to install this set in 2001 B5 but I just noticed that there is no airbags in the 'new' seats so if replaced them airbag will turn on, is there any way to cancel the light via vag?

you need to wire in a resistor. A quick search should lead to a few threads about it

Swap the seat covers with your original seats.

I did the exact same thing... '97 sport seats in my 2001. Resistors don't fix the lack of airbags, but they will prevent the airbag module from throwing a fault code and AIRBAG light on the instrument cluster.
