PIR Late night drag 8/19 Fri

Some of us are planning on going to late night drags on 8/19 Fri at PIR. I think its like $30, unlimited runs and helmets required under 13.99 1/4 mile. Just putting it out there if people want to come watch. I think spectators are free? Its been a cool summer so hopefully we get some good numbers. I will be racing my new b8.5 s4 APR stg2 tune + pulley + intake + exhaust. Who wants to race for pink slips?

sweet, time is still TBD but we will figure it out next week! Its been cool all summer but seems like it may heat up a bit lol damn..

Don't forget to bring a helmet if your car does under 13.99, which would be any car faster than a stock Sentra.

About the worst possible day to go to the track, about 95F at night with a horrible DA. Despite the heat, and it being his first visit to the track, Kevin held it down and repped AMD well with some awesome kills! The car definitely has more in it too! With better weather, some more seat time, and put the car on some octane these things are capable of 10's for sure.

Like Peter said, 90* outside and these were my first 4 legal drag races, ever.

My RT's were trash, my shifting is mediocre at best.

All things considered, these are okay times. It was 100% the kit doing the work.

a 122 mph is basically a 10 sec capable car with traction(high 10s). Nice "W" but 122 mph is pretty impressive with a pretty much over the counter car.

Agreed. It could have gone either way. I'm certainly not claiming I'd beat that car on any given day.

That trap is certainly indicative that there is a lot more on the table. (Same can be said for everyone that night, drag racing in 90* heat)

For reference, the fastest my car has gone was 11.3 @ 123 mph. That was the first and only other time this car has been dragged. It was an experienced driver, obviously not myself.

OMG thats fast ! Always been tempted to get an Ibis RS4(hard find) but owning a RS6, another fast saloon would never be approved by the "committee".

That car is flying! Next time try pro tree might help with your reaction time. Which rpm's are you launching at? Did your dyno print out show peak HP, in order to know your shift points?

I had everything set pretty conservative, being my first time drag racing. The launch control was set at 2900, I'll put it up to 3200 this fall when the weather is more boost friendly.

My shifting was flat out sloppy. I was shifting slow, and all over the place. Ideally I shift at 8000, but I'd say at least 50% of the time I was shifting at 8300-8500. I'm just amateur, lol.

Great runs!!! and awesome kills. That car pulls really hard. I kept trying to bait Kelly into a little fun on the way to Leavenworth but everytime I'd come up next to him the car would act up. Might be allergic to me.

But yea, the Tail b5 is pretty crazy. Maybe with the new clutch I'll do some runs at the track. We will see though. 100 more miles to break it in.

118 mph thats around 440 whp ,not to bad
