5 years later, she has returned home to CT from CA.
Sorry for the potato phone pic!
Definitely not how I left her when she made the journey to CA 5 years ago, but nothing that isn't worth taking the time to bring back. If I've learned anything over the past few years, it's that there is no rush at all and things will get done in time.
Long story short: I sold the car 5 years ago to a fellow in California. I told him to email me if he ever thought of selling. Fast forward 5 years, I got an email out of the blue saying he's having his first kid and asked if I want The Cactus back. Duh, of course I do. 2 months of emails about the car and coordinating the buy/shipping, she is home. Sean was a fantastic caretaker.
Car got in super late last night and I'm in the office running on fumes, but it was more than worth it.
Next steps are a full paint correction this weekend, steam clean the engine bay, thoroughly clean the interior, and inspect the car for issues. Being a B5, there is immediately something slightly burning off in the engine bay and the suspension is squeaking. Oh it's good to be back
