Hey all, I'm rebuilding a a4 for a friend. Car had a aeb with what I was told was a spun bearing. Car came with an extra parts engine, with a connecting rod out the side of the engine, and a good used block and crank. So I'm using the best of all my parts to rebuild this engine. Car also came with all gaskets. I'm ordering new rings and bearing. The only thing I don't have is a oil pump drive shaft. The shaft out of the car was hit with a connecting rod and snapped, and also ripped the gear off of the oil pump. The shaft out of the parts engine, the flange on the outside of the shaft crumbled a little, do you guys think this is okay to use?

Here are some pictures from the teardowns.

Those are all scrap metal. The piston looks salvageable, but you'll have to find a new oil pump shaft
