    Hey everyone,
Just now experiencing my first allroad after a line of audi sedans, and I am as pleased as any other audi I have purchased. The car is a 2004 AR 4.2 with 180k on it. The issue I am having is sometimes in the mornings when it has been sitting for about 20 hours (It's a second DD) and after I have been driving for a while in 80+ degree weather, when I go to crank the car, I will get nothing. Just a small click sometimes. Usually it takes few tries and a couple minutes and then it fires right up. It never dies while driving or in heat. It is acting exactly like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGtS-2_dqhk. Anyone know what this could be? Is it my starter beginning to go? I don't want to replace everything on my mission to fix this if I can avoid it, so where is a common place to look? Thanks in advance.

If you turn the key and don't hear it crank, that points to the starter. I had that symptom happen once when a shop accidentally didn't reconnect the starter cable tightly.
