    Fuel pressure sensors

Tell me this, the low pressure fuel sensor is located on the side of the hpfp and the high pressure fuel sensor is on the fuel rai on the engine correct? Is the low pressure fuel sensor also known as the thrust sensor? Given the codes im getting consistently (P2294 P0089) it leads me to believe that the low pressure fuel sensor (if thats the one on the hpfp) is bad. I went to change it out with the one on my old pump and noticed it was just re-used on the new pump. I bet that happened last time too. Am I on the right track? Also is there something special I need to do to after replacing it? I was reading and it said to run 302 or 301 on vag after replacing or something or do you just put the new one on and go? Ive done a bunch of searching but cant find any clear answers and when I do I cant seem to find the page again. Thanks guys.

I thought the high pressure fuel sensor is the one that is on the top of the HPFP? I'm guessing you have changed your fuel filter also? We changed my mothers Low pressure fuel sensor on her HPFP when we replaced it but it didn't make her code P0089 go away, she gets the code intermittently but after picking up my own A4 we now suspect its her in tank pump as it primes for about 5 seconds whereas my primes for a half second.

Just spit balling though sorry lol

No it's fine I welcome any and all input. I've had these symptoms for the better part of 2 years but with way more codes. Now it's just these 2, P0089 and P2294. In the past year I've replaced hpfp, lpfp, fuel filter, the list goes on EXCEPT the sensor on the side of the hpfp I think everytime the pump gets changed the sensor goes from the old pump to the new pump. I know it did this last time the hpfp was changed a few weeks ago. Thanks for the response!

Well its worth a shot then! Its not too expensive, and maybe it will help! If you have bag com maybe you can log the data and make sure the lpfp is giving the right amount of pressure!

My moms is a replacement pump too but we still believe it isn't working right, gotta get me a vag-com lol
