Stock rotors were stuck on. Took forever to get off.

Can't believe the difference in these compared to the puny stock rotors

Couple setbacks today. Broke a socket, went to Lowe's, brand new torque wrench(craftsman) didn't work, went to Lowe's..lol. Took a break for the night. Finally making some progress tho..

Those look nice! I have to assume these will be a huge improvement over the stock brakes just by looking at the comparison pic. Are you keeping the "Porsche" text on them or covering it up?

If a BBK was as big an upgrade over stock for the SQ5, I would have placed my order for some Brembos already. I just haven't quite (at least not yet) sold myself on a $4k upgrade that might mostly be about looks! Danek did say he'd cut me a great deal though if I do it at the same time as my crank pulley and CPS install lol.

Thanks! So far I love the look. Can't wait to see if they actually make a difference in stopping power. Going to keep the Porsche logo since it's under the clear and I don't feel like redoing the entire caliper.

Yea for you it probably wouldn't make a huge difference since you're working with 380mm already. These tiny rotors were 320mm.

For looks, the Brembo caliper is gorgeous compared to the SQ stock one. Like you said tho, is it really worth $4k? @mops will say yes lol

Danek is a great guy so it might be worth a shot to see how much you could get them for.

Second side is so much easier when you already know what to expect. It also helps when your tools aren't breaking on you.

Rotor off and rust removed. Those 21mm bolts were no match this time. Calling it quits for tonight. Prison break in a few!

Danek is a great guy, but I also always end up doing more to (and spending more on) the car than planned! They need to make their rates less reasonable or something.

Looking forward to seeing and hearing your feedback on the end result of this brake project! I'm still pondering the Brembos. I mean I probably need more stopping power if I'm going dual pulley.

Haha I know. They're always super fair on pricing. Get the Brembos lol. They look amazing.

Finally got everything together. Minor setback as she gets towed to the shop. Turns out one of the ECS brake lines isn't seating right in the caliper and leaks fluid under pressure. Needs replacing and of course ECS has none in stock.

They do look good tho.

Update. Got the new brake lines in. The old brake like had a hairline imperfection in the casting (Pic below).

Hoping to get a couple decent shots soon. Love how these brakes look under the new wheels.

Brought the car to gotham auto on a whim just to inquire about tint options for the front windows. To my surprise they were done with everything for the day and offered to pull the car in for me on the spot. How could I resist? Heres a quick pic when they pulled it in. Hoping to take some pics of the car soon but its filthy. In the mean time, I just wanted to post since its been 4 months with no update in this thread.

As much as I'd like it to fit flush, I probably won't mess with it yet since it's still my wife's daily.

I was looking back in our texts tho to see which spacer you had recommended for me. Specs on wheels are 20 x 8.5 with a 25mm offset. Do you think 5 would sit out far enough or would I need more?

I also worry about the 5mm since it's not hubcentric.

Oh sorry, yes there is a huge difference in stopping power with these brakes. I no longer have to swerve into the shoulder when coming to a stop to avoid rear ending someone. Ive always heard people say that a BBK is mostly for looks, but this made a difference that is 100% noticeable.
