Tangent....this exactly comes to mind for me when people ask me why it costs so much to apply a ceramic paint coating when it's so easy to do. You're not paying for the coating application, which itself really is incredibly easy, you're paying for the six hours of washing, decontamination, polishing/jeweling, and residual it took to make the coating do its thing.
Nice work! The machine looks terrific.
Thanks for the kind words!! I literally LOL'd at the part about your OCD. Don't feel bad, I have the same exact problem, which is why it took FOREVER to tape everything off the right way.
About your customers... yup, if someone has never done this type of job before, they'll never understand the amount of labor that goes into it. Total PITA.

The ecodes cleans up the front end so nicely. I'm going to eventually have to get a pair... :/
Thank you! Agreed on the dip. It seems like time and patience is the key to this stuff. I don't remember exactly, but it took a few hours. Probably between 1-2 hours to tape the grille, about 1:45 to dip the grille (7 coats @ 15mins in between for durability), and probably another hour or more to do the peeling. So probably like 4-5 hours total. Totally worth doing it that way and taking my time. Im 100% happy with the outcome of it.
Ecodes - Yes they're a must do mod in my book! When I had my S5, the guys were calling them "deezcodes" because I was so obsessed with them haha.
