update:
This has been one of the most confusing retrofits I've done although I probibly haven't done a ton.
So I figured out that my car (2002 a4 Quattro sport manual) dose have the grey blue wire from female side of orange connector at the kick panel.
Now this wire is weird it gose to the passenger side and ties into 12 more grey w/blue stripe wires (one of them being one that gose to instrument cluster green connecter. I think it may tie into the lights for the security flash that all the blinkers do when you lock your car.
(Cool I kind of want to see if a led spliced in will flash with them when locking car would be cool side project.)
Continuing on since that grey w/blue wire is completely accounted for no splicing needed.
I saw someone who posted I forget where I think Audiworld. he did the retrofit and said that it worked fine without the wire to door module.
Leads me to more questions after looking at door motor/module I notice there's two part numbers for this part 8E1 959 801B on my car
And other 8E1 959 801G
Now the B version (on my car) is missing pins 7,8,9,10
The connector I pulled off the car with Homelink had wires for all 4 of thoes spots with wires.
One of them being the green w/purple wire to the Homelink visor.
So I believe G version of the window motor/regulator is with thoes pins for?
What this means I don't know I'm still confused why Homelink would need to talk to the door.
I was thinking when you lock or unlock the car but that doesn't make sence because the Homelink system is on switched 12v
I think I will be continuing on without worrying about the green w/purple wire to the door.
My bet is it also needs the other 3 wires to do whatever it dose ? Maybe talk to other doors? I have no clue
At this point i just need to get it done with.
