    DeAutoLED reverse lights review

Guest-only advertisement. Register or Log In now!
Hey guys, well I was lucky enough to test these out. Installation wasn't hard at all..

pop this cover off from the top.

and remove this Phillips ( + ) screw, tail light then slides out and replace the bulb.
Leds look much higher quality than the knock off Chinese versions.

Some pictures of them in daylight..ish in the garage. I'll follow up with a night time pic.

they work great as being able to see out the rear view camera better. Crisp white, as I hate the yellow look of stock bulbs. No problems yet.

Update: output was more important and I think it gives me better light when reversing.

So we all agree these match the license plate lights well then?! I'm ready to pull the trigger...HATE the stock reverse lights. Sounds like the cheaper Phillips ones aren't as bright as these.

Thanks for the great review - we really appreciate it - we will share photos also.

BG SQ5 - Yes the color temperature should both be a clean white - our reverse are of course going to be a lot brighter though - but this will honestly be a lot better than the dull NOT bright yellow stock ones.

We have nothing against Philips, we use their product (not LEDs), we feel their LEDs are lacking from testing we have done and some reviews we have from our customers, and the Philips reverse LEDs are nowhere near the brightness we offer on our LEDs.

On top of this they are 100% error free which is very difficult to do, we have seen many LEDs on amazon and ebay that look just like ours that are not error free - the resistors and setup we use are unique to our LEDs.

Below is a review of ours vs Philips - this is the brightest x-treme model they offer that was tested against our LEDs:

I was looking for something that was an LED, pure white, and had a bit more light output (I park in a very lowly-lit area). I got them, installed them, and quite frankly was not all that impressed. Yes the light was white, they lit up instantly and looked pretty cool. The light output was the same, if not slightly less than the stock incandescent bulbs. I left them in for a few months and then decided to look for something else. I didn't want to go the eBay route, so I turned to deAutoKey. I know they've been around for a bit and cater to the VW/Audi community. I was one of the first to get their front turn signal LEDs and still rave about them and get compliments. I'm really glad I went with their reverse bulbs. I would estimate at LEAST 25% more light output than the Philips versions, great quality, got them in 2 days. These are way more than adequate if you want a pure white LED with more light output for your car. Here is a comparison:

    Philips Reverse LEDs:

    deAutoKey LEDs:

A couple more things to point out, notice that the deAuto bulbs are whiter. The Philips bulbs definitely have a yellowish "tint" to them (sort of similar to a 4300k HID bulb). Also, the lighting in the garage was similar, but not exact. There is more light in the deAuto picture but they are still brighter. I was going to take a picture of them in total darkness but in all honesty picture would be washed out with the light output. I wanted to give the most realistic depiction of the light output of both bulbs. These are obviously super easy to install. But check your housings, my bulb holders just pull right out whereas some need to be twisted out. Really loving these so far. Now I need the LED tail bulbs!

Looks great. Do they make LED rear fogs also?

I'm confused on the question.. You mean after you remove the cover? There's a screw you need to take out then you can slide the housing out

Thanks for the feedback, we feel our repetitive "these are bright reverse LEDs, you have to see it to believe it" loses its meaning after awhile, but we don't know how else to advertise these blinding reverse LEDs. Thanks again for taking the time to share your feedback, we appreciate it.

Thank you - we appreciate the support, keep us updated once installed.

Don't forget the interior kits, our kits are complete, red door warning LEDs - white puddle - stage 2 trunk LEDs with hatch LED - blue red or white footwells which many other kits do not add - even with all of these LEDs included our cost is still less then competitors! We feel you should have all LEDs installed at once. We mention it because many contact us for the missing LEDs after installing other interior Kits and normally it won't work because if you install our LEDs next to other diodes it won't always be a 100% match in color temperature.
