UGH. Love the car, I am looking for Avus Silver or Ibis White preferably with Titanium/Black Optics. 40k is a bit pricey, for me, hopefully you get it. Thanks!

Been looking for a few months, and for your mileage, condition, etc., car is priced very high. I realize it is modded, and maintained, just really is going to require right buyer. From what i have seen, looking, car should be priced low 30's. GLWS! Beautiful car.

You obviously don't know the RS4 market very well if you believe a 07 RS4 with 88K miles, clean title, recent very thorough engine maintenance, top of the line modifications...oh... and a supercharger, goes for "low 30's..." Maybe this is more of your calling....and it's local to you...http://chicago.craigslist.org/sox/cto/5920743181.html

Thanks and Happy New Year. I have seen this listing, thanks for sharing though, I am looking for something pretty specific: '08, Titanium Package, one of three or 4 colors: Ibis White, Avus Silver, Misano Red or Imola Yellow. I am merely saying pricing and researching I have seen a few for 40k plus. They are still for sale after 3 months. There is one for 54k+ in LA. Daytona Gray, '08 Titanium Package, 29k miles. One in SF '07 Avus Silver, 53k miles, guy is asking 40k. Not as modded as yours. My personal preference is I want very few mods. But again that is me.

I wasn't being sarcastic, I think modded cars, take the right (appreciative) buyer for seller to get the price they want. GLWS!

So this my second RS4, first one being a stock '08 w/ the Ti package 45k when purchased. That was my only requirement on my first RS4. The aluminum window just urked me for some weird reason. The piano black trim interior at first was nice and sleek but I found myself desiring the RS4s carbon fiber trim more and more after seeing it in person and how much better it looked compared to my previous B7 S4 due to the larger weave pattern. The price just wasn't justified and I could never locate a cheap set.
Jnabeel, I saw you comment on Nyslc's FS post stating his is worth "close to 40k" with 58k miles and similar mods except for the JHM SC, clutch/LWFW and few other supporting modifications that are necessary. So about $6-9k difference depending on what your definition of "low" and "close to" are for the 30k mile difference and maybe something else that depreciates the value of my car in your, correct?
So when I purchased my first RS4 with 45k miles, I read up on the CC and DRCs which plagues these cars and the PPI checked out. It was a perfect stock RS4, 1 owner, and the guy was in his late 40s (private party transaction) with all services and maintenances at the Audi dealership documented and handed to me .
Not long after picking up the car, a DRC went out and the front control arms. I CC done and spark plug/coil packs replaced within 5k miles, 2 faulty injectors (another common fault) went out about a year later and so did the clutch/flywheel, and brakes/rotors replaced at around 60k. I ended up selling that RS4 at 68k (23k miles of ownership).
When I hear low mileage, that means under 30k. From 50k-100k is the golden age of shit going wrong for a car.

2 RS4s for the same price but you valued one more based off mileage. The things you should be valuing is maintenance. Brakes, rotors, CC, tires, clutch, flywheel, major services were not even mentioned in this post. That all ran me about $10k. So essentially if you bought that car, you will be dumping that in the next year. So add that to that RS4 and it's $16k-$19k from our 2 RS4s. You will learn the hard way that from 60k to 80k miles on the RS4 is the spend money stage. You might think that 3 months of looking at the market, but you're not valuing as much these extremely expensive costs of maintenance and services into your consideration. Learn from our mistakes and experiences.

Wow, thank you for this advice. I had 3 S4's now, 2006 (25 Quattro Edition), 2010 and 2014 now. My point being the only one not under warranty was the 2006. My fear about getting a RS4 is the stories you just told.

I guess my trepidation about a modded car, is just that, modded usually means driven hard. I have a Misano Red, 08, Titanium Package with 83k on that I have accepted offer on. I pulled Carfax, had PPI, and talked to dealer that serviced it. But you are right, it really all come down to: Maintenance, mileage and how it was driven. Let's face it, these cars are usually driven hard.

I personally wouldn't pay top dollar for a car that has 90k+ miles. Even if it is maintained. Most mechanical parts do start failing over 100k. Just my experience.

Again thanks for all this helpful advice. Definitely making me think I should just be happy and keep my S4.

    Janbeel,

Most guys/girls who buy this car are more mature and understand how special of a car it really is. When I hear modded in our RS4 community, i agree with Wahpao and look at the value of the mods. We are not talking about a civic or a wrx, it's a RS4! Even if the mods were done and it was driven hard, that's what the mods are for and what the car was built to do. Honestly, when I drive I have trouble not wanting to speed. I too received every single maintenance record since the car was new and will do the same for the next owner if I ever decide to sell. Anyway good luck gents!!

I think the owner of the vehicle plays an enormous role in how the vehicle has been cared for. This is actually not my DD. I just looked back, I purchased the car on 07/06/14 with 76k miles I believe and now we are at 88k. 12k miles in 30 months... . I'm going to think about things today.

Thanks, wahpao, for posting this—DD. AS I am wanting to find out how many people drive their RS4's as DD. That is the way I would be driving. Not a weekend car/fun car for me.

2007 Audi RS4 Avus Silver - Somewhat modded

First RS4 was a DD but fortunately I was able to get purchase a TDI as my DD and then with the whole VW settlement, it's like I got a free car. The piece of mind to not have to worry about my car when it's parked anywhere but home is worth something now to me. Having a 12 yr and a 3 year who play sports and toss food everywhere was something I don't miss cleaning up after every drive. I get to enjoy the car when I want and not have to let my OCD kick in. Finally am getting to that milestone where career and age meet at the point where there's more income than expenses and you can start to not have to worry living paycheck to paycheck. Life is a stupid struggle I'm telling you. I think I have free will and choice but I really don't lol.

Your priced very well on your car. There will always be ignorant low-ballers who don't realize the value of all the work done. And to these folks, You aren't the right buyer! Move along to the other forums where you can tell those people what they should be selling their cars for.
