Okay guys so i lost my key back in december and now it is time for me to move out of mississippi,

My car is stuck on park with a dead battery , and no key,

i have a coworker who has the exact same car and he has removed his ignition switch etc etc,

what are my options on being able to move my car to the dealership to get a new key made .

or just get it in neutral so someone else can deal with it as i am needing to sell this and my truck in the next month.

In a scenario like this, I believe your ideal sequence of events could look like this:

    1) Have dealership make you a new key, based on VIN #. They will probably ask to see your registration, so let's hope you have access to that... Also they may give you crap about your car not being available to pair the new key to it, but explain your situation to them.

    2) Get new key from dealership.

    3) Either tow your car to the dealership (in neutral) so they can pair the immobilizer to your new key, or have a competent automotive locksmith come out and do this.

You may be able to use your coworker's ignition lock cylinder + key + ignition switch to put it in neutral so you can tow it to the dealer (plug your ignition switch harness into this external combination of parts). This is only temporary of course, as the immobilizer won't let the engine run.

Another option includes an immobilizer defeat, which may save you some cash, but you'll likely still need to buy a new key from the dealer.

Just take the Vin Number, car registration and drivers license to dealer and ask them for a key. this will cost you about $100.00 if not, a little bit more.

if you lost your only key, your only option will be to get one cut from the dealer as metal man stated in #1. once you have that key in hand you could either tow to dealership to have the immobilizer paired or have someone with with a vag com cable and the appropriate programs to pair it for you.

No way its only $100 for a key. Maybe for a Ford/GM key, but not an Audi. You're looking at $300+ for key/fob/programming. If you seriously have a hookup for a $100 key, let me know, because I could totally use a second key for my 3.0

A cut key at my local dealership is ~$80. That doesn't include any programming or FOB, but is comparable to JB5's statement. OP doesn't necessarily need a FOB, but if he does then you are correct that it will be several hundred $$$.

I ordered a B7 FOB off ebay with a blank key for 40 bucks. OEM parts.

Paid 60 to get the key cut and swapped the immobilizer from the B6 key fob to the B7 key fob. If you need paired for your immobilizer, pretty sure you can do this through VAGCOM.

If you don't have any keys for the car, you need dealership to cut the key and have them program it to start the car or just have them cut the key then with vagdashcan or other software you can retrieve the SKC from the cluster then pair the new key to the car to get it running.

You can't vagcom new keys chip to start the car without SKC.
